As we progress in our life, we find that we are faced with outside circumstances that require us to face the need to make changes in our lives. Most of us are resistant to change and it takes effort to be able to do this. We need to find the courage within ourselves to overcome our frailties. The first step is to analyze what it is that needs to be changed. While this sounds easy, a great many people wish to avoid recognizing anything that may upset their status quo. That is why having a dialogue is so important. It is through this means that we can understand what some of the road blocks are that need to be considered in order to move ahead.

One other aspect of daily living is the need to find the strength to forgive ourselves and others. It is not an easy task, but one that is a challenge that, if faced, would do more to overcome the turmoil you may be encountering in your life. Overcoming this barrier will be a key to making you stronger and to be able to radiate strength to others. As a result, your life can be enriched by more beauty, love and kindness.

As long as there is understanding there is hope
As long as we are open to ideas there is a future
As long as we can dream we can achieve

Accomplishments:

Certified Professional Life Coach

I started my journey as most of us do from a very early age. Music and arts were my interests. Music. The music at that time took me to places in the galaxy that in my mind gave me hope and filled me with a desire to make something of myself. I followed this up with art, and that took me to other dimensions and made my life even more interesting. It was a fascinating time in my life. I found that people gravitated to me. I found out later that one reason was because I listened and was able to focus on whatever problems or situations they were involved in.

Professional Care Giver

Being a care giver is one of the most precious tasks we face in our lives. We give of ourselves to make someone else comfortable and feels safe and special. A care giver has many duties and obligations. We have to understand the needs and the problems of the person we are caring for. Some of these can be overwhelming and difficult, yet the tasks need to be done. We have to be flexible and have patience, understanding and yes, even love. In the process we must also find the time to take care of ourselves.

We tend to lose our identity in caring for others as all our efforts are directed elsewhere. It is important to be able to reconnect with yourself and further your own identity. It helps enormously and will enrich your life significantly.

I grew up in a close knit family with many relatives and was exposed from a very young age to being with and partaking of the social structure of a household with many elders, including my grandparents. They would usually invite their friends over many of whom were also senior citizens. I gained a lot of experience by helping both my parents and grandparents in whatever way I could do so. These were very formative years for me.

In our culture and in most cultures, traditions are cherished and valued. I was taught from an early age that respect is a very important word and concept. I have come to respect my elders for all the knowledge that they have acquired and now pass on to me.

First and Second Degree Reiki Practitioner

Most people are familiar with this term, but for those who may not know here is one definition:

” The word “Reiki” means “mysterious atmosphere, miraculous sign.” It comes from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” meaning life energy.”

What is Reiki? It is a Japanese form of energy healing, a type of alternative medicine. It is a way to promote relaxation and help you to reduce stress.  I was introduced to Reiki and other spiritual paths by my Godmother- It was a unique experience that helped shape part of my life at that time.

I performed Reiki for my clients and found the amazing effect that our energy radiates to others. How do we face life on a daily basis? Accepting and surrounding ourselves with positive energy and light from others puts us in an amazing psychological state of mind and body.

Songwriter and Singer

Words on paper accompanied by the right chords create life.

My love for writing, poetry and music has been with me for as long as I can remember. The love of dance and the arts is deep in my soul. I produced a radio show called “A Musical Journey” and so very much enjoyed the research that was done inquiring about past and present Greek Musical Artists. They helped provide a basis for my own music.

I have dedicated my music to helping others. I have performed in Senior Centers, Veterinary Homes, and others. I participated and performed in several concerts for “Hope for Life” a non profit organization in which we raised money to help those in need.

My brother filmed my music videos as it was a family project. Everything done with love to inspire love.

Cosmetologist

Everything involving beauty and art is in my soul. I encompass all aspects of beauty and spiritual relaxation into every aspect of my life. From Billboards to Brides to clients in hospice just needing to smile. I have worked with clients seeking to learn about and others on how to improve their skin care.

Other clients I have worked with came to learn about the art of makeup and to make themselves prettier. In addition, I have attended to and worked with Brides and Bridal Parties on their cherished day. Not only for makeup and presentation, but also for helping them through their most anxious moments. It has been most gratifying.
